Social Media Assets Are Important For Webmaster

Every each one of us talking about the Google penguin update and its going to affect us. Most of the webmasters/bloggers i know are not happy with this update and have no idea what do they do next. Some of the webmasters or owners are now spreading their articles on social media networks to gain traffic but who don’t know how to do it.

Here are list of social media task that every webmaster/bloggers should have:

Twitter Follow Button

I believe as a webmaster you should have a button which allows people to follow you on twitter account. Twitter button will help you increase your followers on Twitter and help you share your articles on line. My twitter account use to have few hundred followers after putting in twitter button on my website, i gain over 80,000 followers. It is very important to keep your readers keep coming back to your website for that you have to have a twitter account.

Facebook Like/Share Button

Mostly every other person i know have Facebook account. It is the place for everyone to hang out these days. Adding a Facebook Like/Share button to your website is the best thing you can to go gain visitors to your website. Facebook button allows you or your visitors to share your article with their friends and from their friends to theirs. You can bring lots of traffic from that. This is the best method you can do to make your website popular in Facebook platform.

Google+ Button

As we all know Google is number one website on internet and is the search engine that we all want and love to use. You should take an advantage of Google to bring incredible amount of traffic to your website. You need to use Google Plus 1 Button, which helps your website rank high organically to SERPs. Google Plus aims to make sharing on the web more like sharing in real life with people around you. It is the best way to share your articles or anything you like with people in your circle. Also your must have Google plus Add to Circle Badge on your website. This badge will allow people to add your Google profile to their circles. It means that whatever you share on Google plus will be seen by them. They can see all of your pages top on Google but it works only when they are logged into their Google account.

Pin It Button

Pinterest is a relatively new social media site which allows people to share photos and videos of their interest. I have met some popular webmaster in social media meeting over at breakfast this morning. They were all saying that Pinterest is their biggest source of getting a lot of traffic. I have been using Pinterest quiet effectively on my affiliate websites and there is no reason why you shouldn’t be using it. You should put a Pin It Button on your website to encourage your visitors to pin your articles.

Linkedin Button

LinkedIn is a business oriented social networking website, mainly used for professional networking. As of May 2012, it had more than 161 million registered users, representing thousands of industries and it rank 12 on Alexa ratings. You can add new connections by inviting people you know and maintain your professional profile.

Here is what you need to do after signing up to Linkedin

log in to your account and click on the “Profile” item in the left menu. At the top right of your profile, click on the link where its written “Edit Your Public Profile Settings”. Near the top of the content on that page you will see “Promote your profile with customized buttons” Click on that to find a selection of Linkedin badges and the corresponding HTML (Direct link included below.)

Rich Snippets

Rich Snippets are on Google search listings and it can increase the traffic of your website. Star ratings of your website or an avatar/picture next to the search results draw people’s attention and there are more chances for people to click on your link. Rich Snippets helps webmasters to get attention and generate good amount of traffic without getting top on SERPs. As a webmaster, you should include these ratings and author pictures on your webpages so that Google can display them easily. These things are very easy to implement and will surely increase your website traffic. Make sure you use Google Rich Snippets Testing Tool to see if your implementation is right.
